Prescription Discount Cards

United Way of Mason County has partnered with FamilyWize to provide Prescription Discount Cards to assist individuals who have prescriptions that are not covered by insurance. The cards can be used as often as needed and do not expire until December 31, 2014. The average savings per prescription is 30% or more.

There is no enrollment paperwork, eligibility screening or fee. All the person needs to do is give their card to the pharmacy when paying for prescriptions. If the card is lost another can be picked up.

Currently the cards are available at the following locations:

  • Meijer Pharmacy,

  • Nichols Drug Store,

  • United Way of Mason County office,

  • Walgreens Pharmacy and

  • Wal-Mart Pharmacy.

    • Since United Way of Mason County began offering the Discount Cards in April 2010, 1,937 claims have been filed with an average savings of 34% per prescription.
