The United Way of Mason County Board of Directors supported the Community Investment Council’s recommendation to award funding to  15 local health and human services programs.

Funded programs are required to submit a Request for Proposal, which are reviewed by the members of the Community Investment Council.  “The Community Investment Council had a difficult job this year in determining the best use of available funds.  While we increased funding by 4% over last year, requests increased by 26%,” stated Jim Wincek, Community Investment Council Chair.
